Covid-19 and Accommodation
We know that you may have some specific queries, regarding Covid-19 and accommodation, so we've provided answers to some frequently asked questions to help you.
You apply in the usual way, throught the accommodation webpage.
Remember that it usually takes up to 48 hours after you have formally accepted a place on a course, before you can make an application for accommodation.
You will receive your accommodation offer via the email address you made your accommodation application with (so make sure you have notified us of any changes to your email address), after your offer becomes unconditional.
The bulk of offers of accommodation are released on A-level results day. For students with an Unconditional offer already, offers are sent out end July / early August.
You will get your offer a little later. Once your place at Keele is confirmed, you will need to wait for up to 48 hours for an email to be sent to you, inviting you to apply for accommodation. You need your Keele student number to do this.
We are working through various scenarios to enable some students to move into campus rooms from September. We have implemented a 5-stage alert system that will define what studying at Keele will be like for the 2020/21 academic year. However, we will keep you informed and updated via email.
We are working through how arrivals will be managed, but we will let you know at a later date.
Our 5-stage alert system that Keele has implemented (similar to the English Government’s alert system) provides details of how we are managing studying at Keele for the 2020/21 academic year.
You have the choice on whether to stay at home or live on campus, but if you have already applied for campus accommodation and no longer wish to live here, you should notify the Student Accommodation Office as soon as possible: email@example.com
We will be following government advice regarding communal areas and the ratio of students sharing kitchens and bathrooms. Everyone sharing a kitchen will be classed as a household. Initially you may not be able to have visitors from other households in your block, but as restrictions are eased this may change.
To gain further information on how Keele are preparing for the start of the 2020/21 academic year in light of the social distancing restrictions that are likely to still be in place, please refer to our 5-stage alert system
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
Our 5-stage alert system will continue to provide information, regarding Keele's response to the Covid-19 situation and social distancing in line with the English Government’s alert system.
Just send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know that you no longer wish to apply for a room.
If you have accepted a room offer, you have a 7 day cooling off period, in which you can cancel your contract via email. If you change your mind after the cooling off period you will still be liable for your accommodation fees.
